Hi patrao,

I'm still in the process of designing my blog or should I say blogs. Right now I have just added some new content to my other blogs: Cheers Dears, Goa Book Review and Konkani Translations.

On Cheers Dears there is 'Bananas, Chikoos and Coconuts' and 'Aunty Ponty'. On Konkani - English Translations you will find the classic Chandrakant Keni short story 'Hippie Girl' translated by me. And on Goa Book Review I've posted 'Song of the Survivors' and '

All these are old stuff, for as I've said I intend using my blogs as an archive of my writing. Hope you enjoy what you read and send me feedback if what you find is interesting, and if it isn't then tell me why.

Cheers
Augusto

  1. Completely respect your decision to have four different blogs. The choice is, ultimately, yours. Most of your writing is interesting, especially Aunty Ponty. There's just one suggestion i'd like to make. It's hard to digest long stories online. If possible, chop. But most of your stories are such, that cant be simply chopped. So you can just put up a short interesting piece and put the READ MORE link to find the entire story. Also, add an ABOUT page to each of your blogs so that visitors can understand the topic of your blogs better.

  2. Hello Patterson:
Thanks for your comment. I did want to put all my material in one blog but couldn't figure out a way. Remember, one of my major objectives is to create an archive for my reviews, translations middles and other outpourings done over the years for the three subsidiary blogs - Goa Books Review, Konkani-English Translations and Cheers Dears. I'll use the Augusto Pinto blog for miscellaneous current concerns.

I take your comment that it is difficult to edit my writing as a compliment because I do spend a lot of time editing before publishing.

Your suggestions of putting a READ MORE link and an ABOUT page are good and I will do so as soon as I recall how to do this ;-) BTW are there any online tutorials that teach this? You see, I keep forgetting your excellent teaching as senility rapidly sets in ;-)
    Thanks once again: Augusto
